Code a Talking Robot with Ohbot

Event Overview:

Venue: Microsoft Store at Easton Town Center, 167 Easton Town Center, Columbus, Ohio 43219

Session 1: Saturday, September 29th (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm)

Session 2: Saturday, October 27th (2:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Target Audience: Grades 3 - 7

Seats are limited for this series. If you cannot attend both sessions, please do not register for just one session.

Mechanization is becoming the way of 21st century life, and with it, the field of robotics is booming. Robots in all their different shapes, sizes and levels of complexity are vital to our everyday lives - everything from the car you drive to the energy it runs on is dependent in some way on the power of robotics and mechanical engineering.

In this event series comprising of two, two-hour sessions, and participants will get hands on experience with using the Ohbot application to write code to make the Ohbot robot move and talk.

During this event series, participants will learn:


How the use of robotics is changing lives across the world.


How coding and robotics work together.


To use and understand basic coding concepts.


To work with the Ohbot application as well as an Ohbot robot.
